Scott Lloyd releases his new EP, ‘In The Garden’, on 9th March 2017
This EP will be Scott’s sixth to date and covers insightful themes such as getting older, childhood, mental health and loss. Scott uses a full band to back him on the EP, which is a step away from his previous acoustic sound. The EP was recorded at Limefield Studios, Manchester in July 2016 and will be released independently by Scott.
Scott Lloyd was born in Middlesbrough and moved to Manchester after university. His sound has been likened to folk artists such as Neil Young and Bob Dylan, with a nod to modern British acts like The Coral and Jake Bugg. Stylistically the EP would be placed in the Folk/Rock genre category.
In the past, Scott has achieved success through radio play such as a live radio session with BBC Introducing Tees back in 2015, as well as having his song ’Lock The Door’ featured as ’Single of the week’ on Salford City Radio.
He has played many venues across the UK including the Manchester Academy 3, as well as a performance at Glastonbury Festival in 2015. Scott also reached success in 2015 from his EP ’Ironopolis’, which went to number 12 in the iTunes, singer-songwriter charts.
Scott spent 2016 performing shows with his band, playing songs from all his EPs, as well as releasing an acoustic EP in December.
